Your ‘Auto Shutdown’ is a very useful program and I have used it for years.
I use it on a highly configured ‘Windows 7′ x64 in which anything related to Hibernation or sleeps and so on is disabled.
I Always delete the ‘hidden Hibernate file’ on root system drive using “powercfg.exe -h off” command and, only after deleting this system file, when ‘Auto Shutdown’ starts, it shows this message:

> Warning
> Your system does not support Hibernation

I didn’t notice any changes in program’s settings, but may it cause any malfunctions running ‘Auto Shutdown’ without this system file?

If it is installed properly, you should have a folder named Auto Shutdown in your start menu. Inside the folder there should be Auto Shutdown icon. Running the application will pop-up a configuration dialog, and will add an icon in your system tray which you can use to bring up the configuration dialog.

Sorry for the late reply. Hibernation is a type of system sleep in which all the current data in computer RAM will be saved on the hard disk, and the system will be shutdown. Next time you turn on your system, it will load RAM content from hard disk, and you can continue your work from where you had left it.

When you start Auto Shutdown, it checks what kind of sleep or shutdown methods your system supports, and if any of the methods are not available in your system, it will show you a pop-up to indicate that particular method won’t work on your machine. So there is nothing to be worried about.

Regarding tray icon color, whenever Auto Shutdown starts, it checks if there is any active schedule set for today, if there is, then it shows the red icon, indicating a schedule is active. If no schudle is set for today, then the icon will be gray.

i just want to ask ,,, after i install ur software it pop-up Your system does not support Hibernation? i dont now what is hibernation and pls tell me how to use hibernation perhaps,, and also after i instal ur autoshutdown the color of the icon is RED,,, after its running then i click not to standby THE color of the icon is grey,,, u mean i can use this ones at the time hopping for ur quick reply thnks sir

This way, it can shutdown only if it has been idle (sans network ping), say one hour, or ten minutes.

OH! And whenever I startup, the dialog doesn’t go away (silent mode). You have to interact to minimize to tray. Maybe you can put a command line option like “/SILENT” to do this.
